The beginning of the Super Sons comic has probably the most accurate portrayal of Damian Wayne to date. The first issue details him going undercover as two different adults – teaching kids for at least an hour in disguise – all to try and help his pal Superboy out.

Only a child of Batman would launch into a Mission Impossible style quest in order to make sure his friend’s bullies get their comeuppance.

Though it’s unclear if it’s sweet or creepy, the complete over the top nature of the whole thing is hilarious either way. There are superheroes who have gone to fewer extremes to save lives, and that makes Damian’s well-meaning efforts charming, if a little eccentric – which, for a kid raised by a crazy ninja mother and reincarnated granddad, isn’t all that bad.
