10 Goofiest Moments In The Early Days Of Spider-Man
10. The Coming Of The Kangaroo!
Spider-Man has one of the best rogues galleries in comics. Batman is widely considered to be top of the pack when it comes to wild and wonderful villains he punches in the face, but a fair amount of them are just goofy and stupid. Spidey, meanwhile, has Green Goblin, The Lizard, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Hobgoblin, Grey Goblin... ...But he also has the likes of Kangaroo. Frank Oliver was a man who spent a lot of time around kangaross for some reason, and apparently if you do that you learn how to leap as high as they can. Then he became a boxer for a bit, but that didn't stick, so he decided to get into supervillainy. Obviously, he was Australian. Almost certainly conceived during a lazy Sunday morning in front on an episode of Skippy, The Kangaroo inexplicably wound up being a recurring villain for Spidey during the seventies, despite his only ability being jumping really high. Proof that not all of Stan Lee's creations are equal...
