10 Goofiest Moments In The Early Days Of Spider-Man
9. Big Wheel
The sad thing for Spidey is that the Kangaroo wasn't the true nadir of his rogues gallery. Far from it, in fact because for every well-honed Sinister Six team of iconic villains he comes up against, there are a dozen hacks who think they can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of the Green Goblin. Which they totally can't. In truthfulness, most of them can't even stand shoulder-to-shoulder with The Shocker. Included in those dubious ranks is Big Wheel, who made his first appearance in 1978's The Amazing Spider-Man #182. A former businessman who was fired for embezzlement, he decided to become a supervillain instead of killing himself. When he got lumbered with The Tinkerer's latest creation, though, Jackson Weele should've just tapped out. He literally sits in the middle of a huge, carnival-style Big Wheel, except it has a load of guns attached to it. He roles around, causing easily-avoided havoc when his perpetual motion is stopped by Spidey.
