It has been seven years since the beginning of the DCEU. While there have been some hits, there have also been misses. Recently the focus of the DCEU has been on solo films such as Shazam, Aquaman, and Wonder Women.

The Justice League film from 2017 left much to be desired. Zack Synder was the original director for the film before Joss Wheldon took over for re-shoots, which resulted in only 10% of Synder's work making it to the final edit.

With the recent announcement of the Synder Cut coming to HBO Max provides an opportunity for a rebirth of the DCEU’s Justice League and their team adventures.

The team has been together for sixty years, with an ever-changing roster of heroes and occasionally villains. During that time they have had some epic adventures, including going against their evil doppelgängers from other Earths, attempting to save the multiverse, gaining god-like powers to match their enemies, and even battling each other, just to name a few. All of which would be awesome to see on the big screen.

With all this in mind, here are some Justice League comics that could unite the DCEU.

10. Darkseid War

It's worth starting this list where Justice League finished off, and The Darkseid War is a natural follow up to what was set up in the film. The story is from the New 52 run of the Justice League by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok, and has already been adapted into an animated film titled Justice League: War (2015).

Wheldon's cut of the film hinted towards Darkseid, as Batman references to “something darker” which Snyder confirmed was the dark god. Darkseid has been confirmed to be in the upcoming Sydner cut, as Synder himself has released images of the New God to much fan hype.

In the comic, the Justice League is caught between a conflict between Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor. During this, members of the Justice League obtain god-like powers and Lex Luthor becomes the ruler of Apokolips.

As awesome as it will be to see Darkseid on the small screen, seeing him on the big screen on Apokolips battling the powered-up heroes would be beyond awesome.
