10 Greatest Avengers Of All Time

7. Black Panther

It may have taken a while for Black Panther to join the Avengers, having first been introduced during Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four books, but when he finally joined, it was clear Marvel had found a winning partnership.

King T'Challa first interacted with the Avengers in 1968, and served on and off in the years following. His commitments to Wakanda always tend to have an influence on his involvement with the team, but there's still no getting away from the fact that, when he's standing alongside Captain America, Iron Man and the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the team is much stronger for it.

It seems as though Marvel and their readers agree, as for the last decade, T'Challa has been with the Avengers. He's one of the group's most iconic members, an important voice on their lineup, and one of their foremost fighters when the going gets tough.

Put simply, there may be plenty of Avengers lineups without Panther, but none are as great as those that include him.
