3. Cyclops

Cyclops was once the greatest mutant to ever live. His heroic leading of the X-Men saved humanity countless times, even when he had to fight his own friends or lovers.

That all changed when he gained the powers of the Phoenix Force. With the Phoenix Force, Cyclops and several other X-Men devastated the world in the pursuit of betterment for all Mutantkind, leading to the death of Charles Xavier by Cyke's own laser.

Even after losing the Phoenix Force, Cyclops turned into the one thing he fought against, Magneto. The stress of events like House of M reducing the Mutant population, mixed with so many other traumatic wars and Mutant genocides caused by humanity's unshakeable hatred of the Mutant race, radicalized Cyclops.

Scott Summers took several mutants and went rouge, fighting against humans, the X-Men, and even Inhumans, all to preserve Mutants above any other race on Earth.
