8. Swift

Gaining her abilities from a passing comet, Swift, or Shen Li-Min as she’s otherwise known, grew feathers and could fly.

She joined the Stormwatch team where she had her powers unlocked further, making her the swiftest of all the swifts now complete with HUGE wings and talons and other bird themed skills. Presumably not including the inability to see panes of glass.

During her time at Stormwatch, Swift encountered some of her future Authority teammates, Jenny Sparks (with whom she had a fling) and Jack Hawksmoor... you'll see them soon. Unfortunately, Stormwatch didn't last, so The Authority was formed with Swift as a founding member.

She fought alongside her teammates, often acting as the scout or hunter given her enhanced abilities. She was given YET ANOTHER upgrade of sorts when she was chosen by the earth to become the new Doctor... Or by this point, it's the new new new... new doctor - either way she did a much better job than her predecessors by not turning evil or being killed by sexy time.
