With a life that spanned the entire 20th century, Jenny Sparks looked no older than her twenties. And most importantly, her decades of experience meant that she was the obvious choice to form and lead The Authority in its initial phase.

Sassy, sarcastic and strong-willed, Sparks had seen it all during her life, interacting with some of history’s best and brightest. Jenny's leadership with the team was all too brief, in that time though she guided the team through various battles all while hiding the fact that as time moved ever closer to the new century she was in fact dying.

That is one tough pensioner!

She ended her time on a huge high though, using her powers over electricity to defeat an alien god that was coming back to reclaim the earth. The new year and new century happened during this and Jenny Sparks passed away, not before telling her team mates to save the world or she'll kick their heads in.... classy ‘til the end.
