Okay, so it turns out most of this list ended up being a sound drubbing of the House That Stan Built, but DC are never one to go down without a fight! Technically Zan is a creation of Hanna-Barbera for the DC-derived Super Friends shows, but that hasn't stopped him from appearing alongside Supes, Bats, Wonders and Lanterns since then. What should have stopped him was the fact that he has maybe the single most useless power ever in the history of superheroes. More useless than translating? Yes. More useless than squirrels? Yes. More useless than NFL SuperPro? Well, marginally. Zan can turn into water. Look out criminals, here comes a puddle to put a stop to your nefarious schemes! Trying to escape, eh? How about I turn into rain and therefore impede your fleeing by a marginal amount! Technically he can also become ice or, er, steam - because as we all know, the heat from a boiled kettle can hurt a little bit - and that could actually have some potential. In the X-Men comics Iceman has turned out to be maybe one of the team's most powerful members with his control over everything ice-related; creating doubles of himself, huge suits or armour, draining moisture out of people and so on. Zan usually just turned into a bucket of water. Or an ice unicycle. Useful. It's all the more egregious because his "Wonder Twin" Jayna has the power of being able to turn into any animal. Like, any at all. That's awesome. While her brothers off becoming a low mist to decrease Darkseid's visibility by 2%, she can be mauling her with a T-Rex's jaws. The Wonder Twins later showed up in Smallville, but their original appearance was thanks to Norman Maurer, a pioneer in comics, film and animation, who was having an off day. Who else have you guys came across that needs to be shared for the rest of us to laugh at? Let us know in the comments!
