10 HUGE Comics Moments (That Were Revealed In Spin-Offs)
9. Deathstroke Quits - Teen Titans: The Lazarus Contract
Gather round kids, because it's time for a lesson in why you should just wait for the hardcover copies of some storylines.
The Lazarus Contract storyline is a hugely important one in terms of following Deathstroke's development as a character, as he begins the arc a clear villain, and ends it deciding to become a hero, or at least something close to one.
And you could, in theory, just read The Lazarus Contract Special to find this out - that is, if you don't mind being profoundly confused as to what is going on, because this special starts basically three-quarters of the way through the story.
If you wanted the full story before the hardcover compilation came out, you needed to do a spot of detective work, which would result in you discovering this arc was in five parts, with each part taking place in a different series.
As such, you'd need to collect Titans #11, Teen Titans #9, Deathstroke #19, The Lazarus Contract Special, and then Deathstroke #20 to have the whole plot in front of you. Why? Because f**k you. That's why.
