10 Human Comic Book Characters With Better Prep Skills Than Batman

8. Nick Fury (Marvel Comics)

Nick Fury Not a lot of people think of Nick Fury as a prep-master, but by God he certainly is one. Not only is he a strategic and planning expert, but he also has equipment available to him that stomps a mud-hole in to anything Batman has at his disposal in the Batcave. Essentially, whenever S.H.I.E.L.D invents something, Nick seemingly always gets a copy for himself hidden away somewhere - meaning that, if you can remember a weapon that S.H.I.E.L.D has used in the comics, Fury has it to fall back on. Fury also stole a helicarrier for himself in Secret Warriors so, if having S.H.I.E.L.D's helicarrier at his disposal was in any doubt, rest assured he has one of his own to use - complete with its abundance of extremely high-tech equipment and contingencies (such as nuclear missiles, for example). As S.H.I.E.L.D's director, Fury also has access to world monitoring satellite lasers, meaning that he can keep tabs on any preparation that an Earth-based foe is carrying out for themself in order to counter it. And with espionage and combat strategy training from the military, S.H.I.E.L.D and the C.I.A to utilise, as well as experience dating back to World War II (which Fury has literally lived through and since thanks to the anti-ageing properties of Professor Sternberg's Infinity Formula), he really is a tactician and planner beyond Batman's capabilities and with resources Batman could only wish he had access to. Fury generally has a counter to anything that he has to face and often refers back to a contingency he made fifty or so years ago to stop a current threat - that's crazy prep.
