10 Human Comic Book Characters With Better Prep Skills Than Batman

4. Hank Pym (Marvel Comics)

henry pym Henry "Hank" Pym is, arguably, the second most intelligent human hero in the Marvel universe behind Reed Richards. The fact that, when Richards requires help, Hank is usually the man he goes to discuss things with speaks volumes about the man's intelligence. He is also Earth's Scientist Supreme, as decreed by the cosmic entity Eternity. With that in mind, his preparatory skills are exceptional. He is the creator of the Pym Particles - a serum that can be injected which grants the bearer the ability to shrink or grow at will (which gave him his numerous monikers as a superhero, such as Ant-Man and Giant Man). He is also the creator of Ultron which, given that Ultron went rogue and became a supervillain, isn't exactly a shining endorsement of Pym, but the fact is that he is capable of creating robots powerful enough to pose a threat to even the most formidable superheroes. Of course, he has also created technology that allows him to communicate with and control insects, as well as the wings that enable Wasp to fly and energy blasting gloves that he wore as Yellow Jacket. His prepping is very different to Batman - he can't anticipate events in the same way the dark knight can - but his level of intelligence and the general level of the projects he works on is a class above Gotham's hero.
