8. Avengers: Mark Waid & Mike Del Mundo
In my eyes, Mark Waid really can do no wrong. His run on Daredevil was a brave and commanding take on the character, daring to make him happy in a sea of despair brought on since Frank Miller's debut on the comic back in the '80s. But ol' Horn Head isn't his only forte however.
No, it turns out Waid is pretty adept at writing teams too.
It should come as a pleasant surprise that the writer is staying on the Avengers come Autumn, having recently penned scripts for the now defunct All New, All Different Avengers over the course of the last year. A lot of our old favourites are still on the roster (Sam Wilson's Cap, Jane Foster's Thor and, as always, the ever amicable Vision), but now they're joined by newcomers Hercules and some... new, robotic hero?
Whilst the identity of this Avenger is currently being kept under wraps (some have speculated its Vic Von Doom under the mask), this has to be one of the best Avengers lineups yet. Here's hoping there's enough story-telling drama and visual flare to match.
