10 Incredibly Bloody Comic Book Deaths

9. Blob Eats Wasp

Marvel Comics

This entry might be better titled, €œbloodiest corpse in comic book history,€ because technically, before the Blob got around to eating Wasp in the much reviled Ultimatum miniseries, Wasp was already dead via drowning.

With that said, David Finch'€™s illustration of a gleeful Blob, tearing Wasp€™s flesh from her bones -€“ his teeth and lips covered with her blood €“- is an absolutely disgusting visual for the reader to,€ ahem,€ digest. It is one of Ultimatum€™'s many senselessly brutal death scenes and has become a legendary example in its own right of what a creatively bankrupt comic book series looks like (and why some have declared the mini one of the worst comics every published).

Blob€™'s cannibalism doesn'€™t go unpunished. In a demonstration of Hammurabi€™s code, Blob'€™s head is ultimately bitten off by Hank Pym as Giant Man. Fortunately for those still reeling from the graphic nature of Wasp'€™s demise, the Blob'€™s decapitation is nowhere near as bloody and brutal.
