7. Mother Russia Loses Her Head
Mark Millar and John Romita Jr's Kick-Ass comic book franchise is not known for its family-friendly content, as it is filled with language some consider to be offensive while many characters are maimed or killed in brutal, shocking fashion. But there's something about the young Hit-Girl's battle to the death with Mother Russia in Kick-Ass 2 that feels even more brutal and violent than anything else that transpires in the series.
As the two women fight during the Battle of Times Square, Mother Russia appears to have the upper hand and is getting ready to administer a kill-shot to the girl until she is distracted. This momentary lapse gives Hit-Girl the opening she needs. She stabs Mother Russia in the neck and then cuts her head clean off. The image of Hit-Girl holding Mother Russias bloody, decapitated head is disturbing on many levels.
What ultimately makes this scene worthy of inclusion on this list is the fact that not only is Mother Russia's demise a gory one, but a young girl who isn't even old enough to drive is also left extraordinarily bloody and battered by the end of the battle.
