10 Incredibly Bloody Comic Book Deaths

3. No Guts, No Glory For Cristu Bulat

Marvel Comics

At one point in the early 1990s, the Punisher was so celebrated by fans for the various ways he killed his adversaries, Marvel€™'s editorial department issued a mandate that any new character introduced in a Punisher comic must be killed within a few pages of his first appearance.

When Marvel introduced its more mature Max line in the early 2000s, there were even more opportunities to take the Punisher to some very dark and violent places. As such, Punisher Max is filled with many gruesome and inventive kills, including some involving the use of polar bears and piranhas. Still, there€™'s one death in particular that€™'s not for those with weak stomachs.

In Punisher Max #28, Romanian mobster Cristu Bulat is drugged by the Punisher and dragged out into the middle of the woods. From there, the Punisher cuts Bulat open and disembowels him. When the criminal awakens, he is so freaked out by the sight of his intestines, he gives Frank Castle all the information he€™s looking. Castle then finishes the job and kills him completely.
