Look Marvel, just because you can have one incredibly popular property befriend another of your also incredibly popular properties, doesn't always mean that you should. Case in point: Transformers Guest-Starring Spider-Man. One is a line of massive robots that can change into cars and fight other giant robots which can also change into cars. The other is a teenager who was bitten by a radioactive spider and spends his days either punching other freaks or crying about the rent. Nevertheless, the pair did meet in a crossover that is precisely as daft as it sounds. Teaming up with Autobot 'Gears', Spidey battled Decepticon boss Megaton and saved ally Sparkplug Witwhicky (not Shia LaBeouf), although Gears did sort-of die in the process. Aghast at the Autobots' apparent lack of interest in their compatriot's death, Spidey left them to it. This wasn't the only time the Marvel superhero universe would meet and fight alongside the Transformers - New Avengers/Transformers is also a thing that exists, and is only slightly less daft.
