10 Incredibly Unlikely Duos In Comic Books

5. Django/Zorro

So recent, it isn't even out yet. Following Quentin Tarantino's hit Django Unchained (the comic book adaptation is just as good, by the way), Django Freeman is set to meet another legendary figure from the cinematic past in the forthcoming Django/Zorro crossover by Tarantino and comics master Matt Wagner. In the aftermath of Django Unchained, Django is alone, having separated from Broomhilda for her safety (murdering a plantation full of rich white people and their lackeys isn't exactly conducive to a quiet life for an ex-slave and his wife). On his travels, he runs into famed swordsman and Batman inspiration Zorro. Rather than punching one another in the face, the pair are reportedly to get on much better than most crossover stars, with the bounty hunter and the swordsman teaming up to take down a dastardly figure every bit as horrid as Django's Calvin Candie. Knowing Tarantino's handle on history (this is the man who finished Inglourious Basterds by blowing Hitler to bits) and Wagner's storytelling skill (he only wrote and illustrated the greatest Two-Face story of all time) it's sure to be a blast.
