10 Incredibly Useful Superpowers Heroes Forgot They Had

4. Superman's Cloning Technique

Considering the near-endless powers afforded to the Last Son of Krypton, it's no surprise to see a second entry for Superman here.

With so many tricks to pull from, it's almost understandable that the Man of Steel may have forgotten about certain abilities over the decades. And one such ability that's seemingly slipped Supes' mind, is the fact that he's able to clone himself.

At times, readers have seen Kal-El split himself into two different versions of himself. This particular skill has been utilised several times throughout the history of the Superman books, but the most famous example of this is in early 1998 - in particular, a one-shot tale involving the Cyborg Superman and Toyman.

Upon splitting his personality into two separate entities, Superman was able to let two differing sides of his personality run wild - Superman Blue being the more considered, tactical being, Superman Red being slightly more reckless and brash.

Not only has Superman shown that he's got the ability to create his own doppelganger, but the Big Blue Boy Scout has also showcased an ability to then merge these two Supermen together to again become one Superman.

Alas, this is an ability that has sadly been scarcely seen since the vibrant, erratic highs of '98.
