10 Indie Comics You Must Read Before You Die

Have you ever wanted a time travel comic that had just a tasteful sprinkle of fantasy? Or wanted to find Fallout's comic counterpart? Ei8ht - all questionably edgy spelling decisions aside - is unmistakably that comic.

The blessing of any comic that is similar in style to the war-torn dystopia of the Fallout franchise is that the art is almost guaranteed to look fantastic, and Ei8ht is certainly no exception to that rule. Arguably, the art is one of the things that really sets the comic out, as it uses a limited colour palette to signify whether the events on the page are set in the past, present or future, which in a world where comics are generally either black and white or in full colour is an innovative decision.

The fact that it manages to do this and still look impeccable basically makes it the Ei8ht wonder of the world (pun intended).

Ei8ht establishes that a good concept carried out well makes a damn good comic, and the obvious communication between art and story serves to further solidify this.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
