10 Insane Alternate Versions Of The Avengers You Won't Believe Exist

You've probably heard of the 2099 continuity through its Spider-Man (Miguel O'Hara), but you may not have heard of the timeline's Avengers.

This team are run by the Alchemax Corporation, with the roster consisting of a somewhat similar line up to the original team, but with the obvious difference that the original heroes have been replaced by the era's counterparts.

For example, this timeline's Hawkeye possesses the properties of an actual hawk (as in talons and wings), Black Widow is a serial killer who murders her victims after sleeping with them and the Captain America alias is used by Roberta Mendez, with her civilian identity being a separate persona to her avenging one. As well as the alternate versions mentioned above, Hercules is a member of the team, being the only character from the original continuity to be a part of the group.

Under the leadership of Alchemax CEO Miguel Stone, the Avengers do the traditional job of tackling threats to the Earth, though they also share the slightly more sinister purpose of bringing in any heroes not working for the corporation, the likes of which are considered to be criminals.
