10 Insane Alternate Versions Of Thor You Won't Believe Exist
7. Rogue
If there's one person that you don't want to have the powers of Thor it's, probably, the unstable version of Rogue that existed before she joined the X-Men. But, while she's on her way to Riker's Island to bust out the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, that's exactly what happens.
In this 1994 'What If..', she runs into the Avengers and, having already absorbed both Captain Marvel and Captain America's abilities, she drains the Mighty Thor and proceeds to wreak havoc. She kills the Vision and leaves Thor for dead before freeing her comrades in arms.
This goes no better for them than it does for the Avengers, as after the Blob makes an ill-advised pass at her, she knocks him clean out the plane before exploding it and killing all on board, including Mystique.
In her emotionally distraught state she is approached by Loki, who convinces her that they need to attack Asgard. Not knowing what a villain he really is, agrees.
But when the time comes for her to lay the final blow, to kill off Odin once and for all, she can't do it and, instead, turns on the Trickster God and defeats him, before taking up the mantle of the new God of Thunder.
