10 Insane Alternate Versions Of Wolverine You Won’t Believe Exist

The Marvel Noir universe is one of the most underrated universes in the entire House of Ideas multiverse. It literally takes all your favourite characters and turns them into the cast of an edgy noir film, which is something you'll have never known you wanted to see until it's right in front of you.

Naturally, the same goes for Wolverine Noir, which sees the hero take on the perfect job of being a grizzled detective. Things become complicated when James has to simultaneously try to solve a case and hunt for his "brother", Dog, leaving him reminiscing over the pair's complicated adolescence.

Though a detective wielding two sets of knives between his knuckles feels a little jarring, the story works so well that you can legitimately suspend your disbelief about that and just enjoy an old-fashioned Wolverine handing out bladed beatdowns to everyone he can.

However, it is worth remembering that this is a Noir storyline, and thus you shouldn't go into expecting too happy an ending. Or a happy ending at all, for that matter.
