10 Insane Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man You Won't Believe Exist

9. Spider-Boy

Amalgam ComicsAmalgam ComicsMarvel Vs DC was a...unique proposition, to say the least. Whilst the actual miniseries which geeks had been waiting for for years, which pitted the Big Two's flagship superheroes against each other in suitable match-ups (Superman vs The Hulk, Aquaman vs Submariner etc), was pretty unremarkable and was more fan service than anything else, what the two companies did afterwards was a lot more interesting. Which is to say insane. Because they decided to "merge" their two fictional universes and become a single publisher, called Amalgam - ha, ha - comics for a month or so. Which meant instead of reading Batman or Wolverine you had to pick up Darkclaw, who looked like Wolverine in a cloak and cowl, or Super-Solider, a terrible combination of Superman and Captain America that nobody asked for. The portmanteau fate that awaited our favourite web head saw him matched up with Superboy, the totally obnoxious and annoying 90s teen clone of the Man of Steel. Which meant we were treated to Spider-Boy, a "radical" adolescent version of Peter Parker who wore a leather jacket and fired webs out of a gun because...just because.
