10 Insane Alternative Versions Of The Fantastic Four You Won't Believe

9. Four Fantastics

One of the best aspects of Marvel Comics is that they cover the questions the fans have had for years, and they make for some interesting and entertaining reading. For the Fantastic Four, one question remained unanswered for years before finally popping up in Exiles #95 in 2007.

The question was, what would have happened if Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom switched places? Would Reed fall to villainy like Doom did in Earth-616 continuity, and would Doom become a good guy? The answer is a little of column A and a little of Column B.

In the book, the Exiles jump to a reality, where this question is answered, when they find the Four Fantastics. The team was composed of Susan Storm, Jonathan Storm, the Hulk, and Victor Von Doom. Reed wasn't a member of the team and instead fled underground, where he took on the name Mole Man.

Reed informed the Exiles that Doom was a tyrant, who genetically altered the people of Earth to be subservient to him, so Doom was good-ish, but only through villainy while Reed was the villain of that world, though fundamentally good in terms of character and intent.
