9. Toyman

Superman's batty foe Toyman primarily uses toy-like devices in his reign of supervillainy, ensuring his method of crime is usually a mish-mash of violent danger and unmistakable hilarity. Some of Toyman's most famous inventions include a life-sized wind-up tank, water pistols that spray
acid, and toy soldiers brandishing actual machine guns. Interestingly, though, the revised source of his origins stems from
another villain; Toyman decides to become a murderous maniac because he blames Lex Luthor for being fired from his toy company, which inevitably lands him in the path of The Man of Steel. Perhaps the most hilariously ironic moment in Toyman's entire comic tenure comes when he is informed that a line of Superman-themed action figures will not include him because he's not "edgy" enough, much to his disdain. Toyman is, however, one supervillain who
nearly made the cinematic cut; in the script for Roland Emmerich's failed project Batman vs. Superman, Toyman was to appear in cameo form as a reformed criminal Batman questions over The Joker's location.
