10 Insane Marvel Alternate Universes You Won’t Believe Exist

4. The One With A Musical Plague - X-Force (Vol. 4) #5

Thanos Captain America Universe
Marvel Comics

Given this is the same comic issue where you find out Marrow had a child who was then killed, it's easy for just about anything in X-Force #5 to fall into the background.

But the background is also where all the most interesting information usually hides, and this issue is no different. Case in point: Marrow mentions that Antonio Aggasiz discovered a "musical virus" in Earth--76 while on a spot of dimension-hopping adventures.

This is almost totally passed over - in fact, we don't even get a look at the universe it comes from - but the little we do get to know makes us fully aware that said universe is one of the wildest in Marvel's entire roster. Because we are told Antonio graciously stole said virus from a "race of sentient melodies" which is perhaps the single most confusing sentence the human language can in fact make.

It's a concept so surreal that it presumably couldn't be drawn, and so abstract that if your friend said it to you, you'd immediately presume they are on some illicit substances - and some of the good, strong illicit substances at that.
