10 Insane Superman Crossovers You Won't Believe Exist
1. Amalgam Comics
This list of crossovers would not be complete without another feature from Marvel, as this is arguably one of the most ambitious comic-book crossovers ever put to print, with numerous heroes and villains from the DC and Marvel universes going head-to-head in a story with universal implications. It is also the first crossover that saw the readers influence parts of the plot's outcome, specifically in the various heroes' clashes that took place in the story.
The story opens with two brothers who are physical embodiments of the two universes becoming aware of each other and waging war against each other using their respective heroes. In an attempt to avoid total annihilation, the Spectre and the Living Tribunal merge their universes, the outcome of which is seen in the Amalgam Comics imprint.
Superman is merged with Captain America to create Super-Soldier, a man named Clark Kent who ingests a solar-powered serum infused with alien DNA to become a super-powered hero during the Second World War and later in the modern-day.
The decision to combine both heroes may have been the obvious choice but still yielded entertaining results and creative ways of weaving their respective mythologies together.
