For a race that look like rainbow dyed humans with feathers instead of hair, the Voldi actually have some pretty cool technology, based largely upon the many beings they draw power from and worship like gods.

However, the fact that this issue revolves around them trying Tony Stark - who did also save their lives, and who they kind of owe one - for being involved with the death of one of said godlike creatures felt pretty unfair, especially since Iron Man has literally no concept of how a Voltian court works.

If their goal was to have Stark die in infamy, however, then their plan was not only uncharitable but also totally inept, as Iron Man ends up defeating most of their best warriors in a gladiator ring style contest, which to the Voldi watching, makes him look like a total badass.

In fact, for the rest of the Voldi's - admittedly fairly short - existence, Tony Stark is basically a low key celebrity, making the Voldi leaders on par with Condiment King for being the least effective at their work.
