Ever wondered what would happen if body horror maestro David Cronenberg got his hands on Spider-Man? Wonder no more: in the final stage of Spidey's mutation, Spidey first grew four extra arms (weird, but okay), before going full insect and transforming into a giant, acid-spewing spider-man hybrid. Or Man-Spider, if you will.

Mister Cronenberg couldn't have done better himself.

Fans of nineties TV will also recognise the Man-Spider from his stint on the popular Spider-Man animated series, where, granted, he looked a bit cuddlier, but was no less horrifying for poor Peter Parker to experience.

And there were we thinking that the organic web shooters were a weird addition.
