In Marvel Universe versus The Punisher, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man found himself transformed into an entirely different kind of Marvel Zombie.

Patient Zero in a zombie epidemic of the Punisher's causing, Spidey announced this awful new threat by biting off the Rhino's face in front of a horrified audience.

This terrifying new version of Spider-Man was like no zombie Spider-Man we'd seen before (or since); gargantuan in size, savage and yet still deeply intelligent, manipulating the Punisher for his own dark purposes. Eventually he found himself taken down by Frank - because that's how most monsters meet their end in this kind of story - but not before taking his horrifying toll on the Punisher, and what remained of their world.
