Physically, Shazam is roughly equal to Superman. The strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, and speed of Mercury are nothing to scoff at, however difficult it may be for him to use the wisdom of Solomon thanks to his age.

But the real kicker comes with the power of Zeus. His lightning is amongst the most powerful magic in the DC Universe, actually rivalling the Olympian himself.

He's strong enough to stand against the likes of Darkseid, being one of the few people who can actually hurt him. The only limit to his powers are his immaturity and inexperience, all stemming from his young age, ironically being the one thing that keeps him pure enough to deserve his powers in the eyes of the wizard he takes his name from. But with enough time and agency, he is meant to become one of the most powerful heroes in existence and a champion for the Lords of Order.

As previously mentioned, Superman's inability to deal with magic-based threats gives other heroes the opportunity to step out of his shadow. Billy Batson has an edge over the Man of Steel by basically being him but with magic on top.
