A noble, unrelenting warrior with the most elite training, Wonder Woman is capable of easily going toe to toe with Superman in terms of strength, agility, and durability, with the fighting skill that the Man of Steel sorely lacks.

As a child of Zeus, she is imbued with incredible power later revealed to be of magical nature, and has a fair amount of divine artifacts at her disposal, like the lasso of truth, which not only serves interrogation purposes but is also unbreakable and strong enough to hold Darkseid. Her bracelets can block incredible amounts of damage, the least of them being bullets, and her sword is sharp enough to cut through steel. Even her tiara has been shown to cut through Superman's skin.

Superman's lesser-known weakness is magic, being especially vulnerable to spells and damage from magical sources as they completely ignore his enhanced biological durability, rendering him almost useless against threats of this nature. Sure, he can still punch them and try to melt them, but most of them are highly resistant to physical damage, only being able to be harmed by more magic. Wonder Woman can fulfil that role perfectly.

Although sometimes inconsistent, Wonder Woman's powers have been shown to be at least on par with Superman. That, in addition to their magical nature, enables her to handle him relatively easily, along with threats that he is unable to deal with.
