10 Little Known Superheroes That Would Make DC Millions On Film

7. Mister Miracle

Coming off the back of Tom King and Mitch Gerads stellar first issue on the character, it's obvious that Scott Free is a character that possesses dynamite potential.

Another one of Jack Kirby's marvellous DC creations, Mister Miracle is but one of the many 'New Gods' that populated the creator's Fourth World comic series at the start of the seventies. He grew up, rather tragically, under the thumb of Darkseid and Granny Goodness on Apokolips, and if you happen to understand the gravity of those circumstances, you'll more than likely agree that Scott's had it tough.

Later, the character would escape Apokolips along with his wife, Big Barda, and fled to Earth. There, he befriended master escape artist Thaddeus Brown and went onto become the world's premier death-defying miracle-worker. Scott, along with Barda, have even featured regularly in the Justice League, but the real potential lies in exploring the couple's relationship, and indeed, Scott's inner-demons too.

Despite the dorky (some would say awesome) aesthetic, there's little doubt that Free and Barda would work well for a wider audience. With a newly re-established presence in print, it would be natural for DC to take the characters elsewhere too - hopefully to a live action destination.
