10 Marvel Characters Most Likely To Be Killed Off In Civil War II

3. The Wasp

In January, Marvel confirmed that they will be introducing a new Wasp on Free Comic Book Day. That means that Janet Van Dyne will no longer carry the name, and with the new version reportedly tied to Civil War II in some way, it makes perfect sense to kill off this founding Avenger and have whoever the mysterious new hero is that takes over actually inherit the mantle there. Janet is close to both Iron Man and Captain Marvel, so could come down on either side, and her being the one to die early on in the comic would provide both characters with the necessary motivation to stick by their guns as they fall on different sides of this argument. This wouldn't be the first time Bendis has killed off Janet of course (she also seemingly died in the pages of Secret Invasion), but with Marvel no doubt keen to follow the movies by introducing the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Hope Van Dyne before the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp, it definitely feels like the original Wasp's time is up. Who wants to bet she goes out in a similar way to how Black Goliath died back in 2006?
