10 Marvel Heroes GUARANTEED To Join The MCU
1. The X-Men
Of course it's the X-Men. For years, the X-Men were THE Marvel team to comic fans and non-comic fans alike. Of course, that changed when the Avengers became a household name, but for decades, the X-Men reigned supreme.
It's for that exact reason that Marvel may want to wait before introducing them. Unlike the Fantastic Four, there's still a lot of attachment to the previous film incarnation of the X-Men. An entire generation grew up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier, and Ian McKellen's Magneto. They're still fresh on many people's minds.
All that said, Marvel WILL introduce the X-Men. They have to.
They're too iconic to ignore and there's way too much opportunity there, both story-wise and profit-wise (read: MERCHANDISE). Who isn't excited to see the team in their classic outfits? We never saw Wolverine in his yellow suit, and that's a travesty. And who's not stoked to see the MCU's take on Beast.
Plus, Marvel can get a LOT of mileage out of the X-Men and their supporting characters. Their lore is so expansive and so rich, they could practically extend the MCU's lifespan by another 10 years. They could make solo films for several characters, should they feel so inclined - Gambit, Wolverine, Storm, etc.
See? Mileage.
