5. Franken-Castle
During the 'Dark Reign' era of Marvel's history, Norman Osborn had his hands in every criminal organisation whilst ruling over the USA with an iron fist as the face of H.A.M.M.E.R., S.H.I.E.L.D.'s replacement. Frank did not approve and attempts to assassinate Osborn for his crimes as the Green Goblin. Frank's attack fails and as a result, Osborn dispatches Daken, Wolverines morally corrupt son, to murder Castle in retaliation.
After being cut to decapitated and pieces Frank is revived but Morbius the Living Vampire and the Legion of Monsters, through the use of the magical Bloodstone, hoping he would help protect them. Initially, he refused but after seeing that even monsters can be innocent, he defended them from a secret society that was hunting them down for sport.
Afterwards, he decided to take revenge on Daken and shortly after the fight, the Bloodstone that revived Frank had finally fixed his body but was slowly affecting his mind, making him even more violent to those around him. It took the combined might of the Legion of Monsters and Elsa Bloodstone to take back the gem and send him back to New York with his mind intact.
