Feeling like your own worst enemy can be a familiar sensation for people who suffer with a mental health disorder. No one understands that feeling better than The Sentry. Robert Reynolds has been diagnosed with a plethora of illnesses, which include anxiety, depression and extreme agoraphobia.

Sentry’s negative mental health has also taken physical shape in the form of The Void. A creature of pure darkness, The Void is the opposite of his lighter half. The two personalities have constantly battled for control, causing havoc throughout the world.

Reynolds finally confronted his inner demons in the recent Sentry: Man Of Two Worlds graphic novel by Jeff Lemire. Realising The Sentry and Void were created from feelings of inadequacy and anxiety, Reynolds merged the personalities together and felt whole for the first time.
