10 Moments When Superman Was A Real Jerk

2. When He is Unable To Make Easy Decisions

It's hard to envy Superman when he's faced with dilemmas. Does he rescue a fishing boat that's sinking off the coast of Nova Scotia, or catch a toddler who fell out a high-rise window in Singapore? He can't be everywhere at once, which means that the Last Son of Krypton sometimes has to make some difficult choices. Of course, not all those choices are difficult.

The above example is a perfect one: "If you save the Joker, Perry White dies!" Should Superman rescue a homicidal mass-murdering clown who has bedeviled his friend Batman for years, or should he let the Joker fall in order to preserve the life of Daily Planet editor Perry White, who probably hasn't done anything wrong in his life except be dumb enough to be friends with Superman? Even the Joker would think it's an easy decision.

However, knowing how Superman treats his "friends" he'd probably rescue the Joker just so the supervillain could keep killing citizens of Gotham to torment Batman. As for Perry White, he had a good run as the butt of Superman's jokes.
