In this reality, the Cobblepot family have Bruce's parents murdered and just for good measure they turn Bruce into a horrifying bat creature. I would call that a pretty bad day. Understandably, this sends Bruce into a revenge spiral, studying the dark arts to exact it. However, through his studies he learns that by murdering the Cobblepotts, he would only help to make the dark world he exists in darker. Instead of adding to that, he decides to turn his powers to good. This eventually gets him noticed by the League of Shamans.
