8. The Blue Area Of The Moon
The Blue Area of the Moon is in the Luther Crater on the Lunar surface with a breathable atmosphere and Earth-normal gravity. It was built a million years ago by the Skrulls as a test site in a competition between the Kree and the Cotati races. When the Kree failed, the area was abandoned. The Kree killed the Cotati and the Skrulls, thus sparking the Kree-Skrull War.
Uatu the Watcher moved his citadel to the Blue Area. The Fantastic Four first encountered Uatu when they pursued the Red Ghost and his Apes there. The city was also the site that The Phoenix committed suicide when the X-Men battled the Shi’ar Imperial Guard. The Area has famously been the home more than once for the city of Attilan, the home of the Inhumans. The Krakoans have created a habitat on the edge of the Blue Area called the Summer Home.
The Blue Area of the Moon has become a veritable Grand Central Station for activity. But the city is still a dangerous place. It is filled with hidden traps, dangerous weapons, and too many places to get lost. Humans aren’t welcome in Attilan or the Summer House and the last thing anyone wants is the Watcher taking notice of them.
