10 Most Disgusting Comic Book Deaths

As far as series go, Ultimatum is one of the more gruesome to ever feature major Marvel characters - for better or for worse. Although this resulted in more than one gory moment - most notably the infamous scene where the Blob eats the Wasp - the most disgusting has to be when Dormammu decides to kill his longtime foe, Doctor Strange.

Because Dormammu doesn't just quickly kill him (because that'd be too easy). Instead, he uses his powers to slowly wrap his iconic cape around him, slowly choking him until the Sorcerer Supreme's head pops in the grossest fashion you've ever seen.

There's something so grossly visceral about the whole thing you can't help but get a little squeamish every time you see it, as it's such a drawn-out and agonising death that it almost triggers your fight-or-flight reaction by default.
