10 Most Disgusting Comic Book Deaths
8. Rorschach's Saw Trap - Watchmen #6
The difficulty with creating a character like Rorschach is that it's hard to properly show the audience that a superhero is absolutely merciless, as they're generally up against the kind of awful people that it's difficult to feel bad for.
However, Alan Moore wasn't playing around when he created Rorschach, and thus he drives home how hardcore he is by creating a brutal death that is somehow more disgusting for the fact we don't fully see it.
After discovering a criminal who had kidnapped a small girl, abused her, and then fed her to his dogs, the vigilante does what he does best, in that he concocts a legitimately blood-chilling plot in revenge.
Under the cover of night, Rorschach kills the man's dogs, knock him out with one of these dead dogs, and then handcuffs him to his furnace in the basement, before handing him a hacksaw. When the man questions what for, Rorschach sets the basement on fire, and provides him a choice; either burn to death in the fire, or saw his handcuffed arm off with the saw.
The vigilante then stands and waits outside, until the entire house burns down, with his new friend remaining trapped inside, having likely tried to saw his arm off and failed due to the agonising pain. If it works for Mad Max, I guess it works for Rorschach too?
