10 Most Evil Versions Of Batman

8. Devastator Batman

So a few years ago the Superman comics introduced the Doomsday virus. It was basically an explanation as to why this big bony villain keeps on coming back no matter how many times Superman punches him into space. It does exactly what it says it does - it turns you into Doomsday. It even got Superman for a hot minute there.

But in Dark Knights: Metal, we're presented with a fascinating scenario: what if it got Batman instead?

When Superman of Earth -1 just completely loses his marbles and goes on a killing spree, Batman - out of pure desperation - gives one final go at stopping him by ingesting the last remaining vial of the Doomsday virus. This permanently transforms him into the Devastator, a wicked hybrid of Batman and Doomsday that easily trounces the insane Superman.

However, it's called the Doomsday VIRUS for a reason, so it's not long before everyone else is infected with the virus too. Oh, and to top it all off, the virus drives you irreparably insane.

There's barely anything of Bruce left by the time we meet him in the Dark Knights: Metal event. Merely a mad drive to make everyone see that Superman is not the boy scout everyone thinks he is.
