10 Most Iconic Superhero Symbols

This symbol hasn't always been the most famous in the world, but it sure as hell is now. The Avengers symbol is the trademark logo of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and has remained unchanged for quite some time now.

Of course it wasn't always the famous 'A' with an arrow, but when Marvel finally landed on this concept for its greatest superhero team to use as their uniting symbol, they loyally stuck with it up until today. Needless to say, it's more than paid off in the long run.

We don't even know why there's an arrow in the A, and we likely never will know. It's just one of those design choices that looks really damn cool. That, combined with the circle surrounding the A to give it more solid structure in its design, makes the logo come off as a symbol of a genuine organization, instead of a logo thrown together by and for just one guy.

Sometimes simplicity is the way to go, and this is definitely one of the best simplistic designs for a superhero symbol out there.
