10 Most Iconic Superhero Symbols

5. Wonder Woman

Superman Clark Kent Symbol
DC Comics

Wonder Woman has had one TV show, one solo movie, and a few animated specials. Compare this with Batman and Superman having near constant pop culture presence. But, of course, that hasn't stopped her symbol from becoming one of the most famous in superhero history.

Feminists had been rallying around Wonder Woman's twin 'W' symbol for decades, but the Gal Gadot movie really helped to bring it all into the mainstream - which is good, because it's easily one of the more creative symbols on this list.

Not only is it a creative joining of the two Ws that make up her title, shaping the ends of the letters to look like wings gives it the majesty and regalia that the mightiest Amazon deserves.

It also allows for a rather creative placement of the symbol, at the top of the breastplate instead of dead center.
