10 Most Inappropriate Supergirl Storylines
1. Ariella Kent's Offputting Parentage
While it was bad enough that DC tried to ship their most famous cousins together, it is downright despicable that they would try it again, and give the Kryptonian family members a daughter no less.
The super-couple in question each hailed from different universes (Superman of Earth-1 and Linda Danvers/Matrix Supergirl of New Earth) and were not technically related, this still does not absolve their relationship and family of its revolting nature, especially when one considers who Superman and Supergirl are to each other.
After the Kara of Earth-1 met her untimely demise, Matrix took on her place and fought alongside the Kal-El of this timeline for a number of years before he revealed that he always knew that she was not a native of his universe. Furthermore, he expressed his love for her and she reciprocated in kind, eventually marrying and having a child called Ariella.
Not long after, the Spectre emerged in the alternate world and took Linda back to her reality and Ariella was left to wander the universe, all the while posing a threat to it due to her incredible powers.
As mentioned before, Kal-El and Linda are not blood relatives but it is a bit disconcerting to see DC try and find loopholes that would create stories where Superman and Supergirl are an item.
