7. Supergirl And Comet
Many little girls become obsessed with horses. It’s unusual when the horse becomes obsessed with the girl and, even more so when the horse becomes a man and starts to romance the girl when she grows older. This is just part of the strange story of Comet the Super Horse.
Comet started life as a centaur named Biron who saved the sorceress Circe from a rival wizard. He asked to be turned human as a reward but the spell was thwarted by the other wizard, and Circe, believing the mistake is hers, gave Biron superpowers and immortality. Enraged, the evil wizard trapped Biron on a distant asteroid until he is freed by Supergirl’s escape rocket on its way to Earth.
He followed her to Earth and waited a few years to get himself taken to the Supergirl Dude Ranch. There, he and Supergirl thwart an alien attack that he had telepathically warned her about. Kara named the horse Comet. Biron gained the ability to change into a human whenever a comet went through the system from an alien wizard, and thus he romanced the Maid of Might as master horse rider 'Bronco' Bill Star. He never told her the truth.
