10 Most Memorable Weddings in Comics History

1. Reed Richards & Sue Storm

What else could be number one? One of the longest standing & sturdy marriages in the history of comics (we'll ignore the Ultimate universe version for now), the holy matrimony of Reed and Sue set the standard for all that came after it. Taking place in 1965 in Fantastic Four Annual #3 and was created by the legendary two man team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Dr Doom learns of his nemesis' wedding in the news and plots to disrupt it using his emotion changing device. What ensues is, to quote the book itself, €œThe world's most colossal collection of costumed characters crazily cavorting and capering in continual combat!€ Almost every notable hero & villain clash in an enormous battle royale to save or crash the wedding. Fortunately, The Watcher sees this chaos and intervenes, transporting Reed Richards to his home. Reed is able to remove Dr Doom's control, save the day and finally kiss the bride. The rest, as they say, is history.
