10 Most Memorable Weddings in Comics History

2. Scott Summers & Jean Grey

Scott Summers had originally married Madelyne Pryor, a clone of his presumed dead girlfriend Jean created by Mr Sinister. When Jean returns from suspended animation, the X-Men unite to defeat the now-villainous Pryor, allowing Cyclops to propose to the real Jean. Understandably, she turns him down. Four years later, in 1994, Jean returns the favour of a proposal and they officially become engaged. The touching ceremony itself took place in X-Men Vol 2 #30 with the entire cast of X-Men in attendance. Even Wolverine, the perpetual third man in the love triangle, attends, albeit in his own unique way. The bizarre twists and turns eventually leading to a truly heartfelt issue make this event one to remember.
